And this is a pot being made!

When it's made on a spinning wheel it is called being thrown.
He is throwing a pot.

Reggie, blurred in the foreground, is looking sideways at a middle-aged white man sitting at a pottery wheel, bent sideways as he molds a wet clay bowl that is spinning on the wheel.

This pot has just been made.
It is still soft.
Mmm smells cool and earthy.

These pots have been painted with a special paint called a glaze.
It will change colour when they are fired.
Magic!

This is the special oven called a kiln where the pots are cooked
...
Oh!
When you cook pots it's called firing.
The pots were fired!

Pots!

Each one is different!
All hand made with burnt bits of colour from being cooked in the kiln.

A close-up of a set of ristic clay casserole dishes lined up on a wooden slatted table. Standing on the table, looking at the dishes, is a tiny cradled sylvanian families black cat baby. It's Reggie!
