I actually liked #Moonfleet despite its flaws. I've already said I feel it was stunning... but it also had potential. That reviewer was unfair to say it made no sense. There was a definite story, goals, and his relationship with the boy was a very important through line. #Swashbucklers #TCMParty

I just found this photo of Rocky Marciano visiting Stewart Granger on the set of #Moonfleet in 1955. #Swashbucklers #TCMParty

I missed it!!! I had to leave the room, darn it. Good thing I recorded this one... Sounds like I'm going to be mad at somebody. #Moonfleet #Swashbucklers #TCMParty

Whether you like Stewart Granger or don't, the man could seriously buckle some swash! #Moonfleet #Swashbucklers #TCMParty

A modern French poster for Moonfleet that catches the swashbuckling but sadly not the vivid colour of the movie.

Dark and moody with minimal pops of bright colour? I actually think this is quite rich! There's no waste of the medium going on here! I hate colour movies so bleak that you're made to feel depressed just looking at them (cough, 70s, cough). This is not that! #Moonfleet #Swashbucklers #TCMParty

-and with that, the annoying child dies, buried alive.

After drinking all the barrels of brandy, of course.
