How many times have you typed the message… and deleted it?

“I’m not doing well.”

“Can I talk to you?”

“I think I need some help.”

Sometimes sending those words is the hardest part.

What helped you finally reach out?

No advice. No fixing. Just your experience.

You can be struggling and still show up.

You can work, make plans, laugh, take care of everyone else and say, “I'm good.”

Mental illness doesn't always look like what people expect.

Looking okay doesn't mean you're okay. So be kind.

Finding the right treatment can take time.

What works for one person may not work for another. If something isn’t working, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes, finding what works means trying something different.

Keep going. You’re worth the effort.

Sometimes people say things because they genuinely want to help.

But good intentions don't always make the words helpful.

“You seem fine.”

“Just focus on the positive.”

Sometimes you don't need advice.

You need someone to listen, believe you and stay.

Canadians have made it clear that timely mental health care matters. 87% say timely access to mental health care is important.

Yet every province received an F for current wait times to access publicly funded mental health care.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't the symptoms.

It's looking at yourself and thinking, “I don't recognize this person.”

Mental illness can change how you see yourself. It doesn't erase who you are.

You're still in there.

Carrying it quietly is exhausting. If this is you, you don't have to do it alone. 💙

Honest conversations and empathy around mental illness and accessing mental health services can prevent further complications. We encourage our registrants to create safer spaces for patients and peers, so no one feels afraid or hesitant to seek the care that they need. #MIAW2026

You can look fine and still be struggling on the inside.

You can show up, laugh, get things done and tell everyone you're good.

Mental illness doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes, you get really good at carrying it quietly.

Looking okay doesn't mean you're okay.
