I often think of this as a sunrise dress, its fiery layers of tulle replicating the striations of early morning. Today I was treated to this display on my stroll through the lanes, mirroring the Callot Soeurs colours of c1910 #madparisfr #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Oh this old thing? Just a spiralling ruche and casual drape of pink silk velvet broken up by a gold encrusted strapless bodice. Nothing to it really….. It is a 1948 design by Jacques Fath, post war glamour writ large #madparisfr #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
