Two Short Stories for inktober - Knights of the Circle Short Stories.

Currently writing up a bunch of stories and completing my short novellete #fantasy #LGBTwriters #writing #storywriting

Gates were rammed, wood splintering, breaking under the weight of a nightmare’s strength. The Knights of the Circle were beaten to the last. The final knight prepared herself.  There was no returning from the hordes that waited outside. Rising from her kneel. Glad to meet her end with blade on hand than to die, like the nobles. Poison. A coward's way out. She repeated her final oath, “I am the spear, to pierce the heart of evil."  The gate splintered, and the creatures came through by the dozens. Then the steel sung and blade met flesh. The Knight of the Circle Fortress was now a ruin. Three days, to gather two hundred warriors. Night Beasts laid their bodies pierced with arrows, and spears. Knights both in armor and out lay dead. Horwitz announced, "Look for Survivors." He saw similar scenes, all heroes fighting last stands. This what night beasts did, kill the best of them. Coming upon a scene like all the others, knights blade alone. Horwitz sighed, a mumble caught his attention. A child’s voice, he pulled open a hidden stone door. A trembling small girl, “Are you here to rescue me?” “Yes Child.”

I've been trying to find places to advertise my book without it being annoying. anyone found places to do that that don't require a bunch of money?
Some kind of discord where it's just genre threads with links to stuff to read the preview or something?
