#BirdsInAbstract for #BirdoftheDay theme
I'm going with motion blur. This is an orange-crowned warbler taking off last month at #HuntingtonCentralParkEast. Have a good day! #Birds #Nature #Photography

This photo shows some green and red leaves throughout an overly exposed, almost whitewash shot. In the back we see a yellow warbler flying right to left with his/her wings extended downward. The bird is almost in silhouette with the backlighting and the light comes through with wings making them look translucent. Her head is pitched upward as it looks for an escape.

plus/minus #Iridescence for #birdoftheday.
This is a green heron from last week. #HuntingtonCentralParkEast #Birds #Nature #Photography. Have a great day.

A green heron stands in profile on a fallen log in an algae-covered pond. We see his or her dark green crown feathers up at attention. The face and neck are a rich brown color. The wing feathers are a green and a green-blue color with yellow edging. The legs are yellow with bits of green algae. The background is a blurry mass of fallen trees and green bushes and branches.
