Here's a juvenile or female black-chinned hummingbird shaking off some water droplets, for the #BirdOfTheDay theme #BirdsInAbstract.

Little Blue Heron, just starting a flight, feet barely clear of water. Taken from an elevated dock perspective, looking down on the back of the heron as it launched away. Head and neck in crisp focus, with everything esle blurred. Some droplets of water around the feet and legs helping show the motion in this shot. One of those barely missed shots, but still interesting in details.

#birdoftheday #BirdsInAbstract An intriguing shape high in a tree turned out to be a Bronze Winged Parrot. A big bird flew straight at me then rose and landed 30 feet up--a Bare Faced Ibis. Last shot is an Orange Bellied Euphonia that flew away before autofocus could catch up with it.
