His arm was shattered at the Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915.

We display his diary and the glass bottle of bone fragments he kept.

Wounded in the arm in 1918, a bigger splinter misses him by millimetres.

We display his Jacket, the sleeve scored by the splinter.
