@lrtonthegreen.bsky.socialStage 1 of #greenlineyyc is officially under construction with a planned opening in 2031. The City of Calgary's motto is 'Onward'. Almost a decade has passed since Stage 1 funding was received. Kudos to @jeromyyyc.bsky.social for looking at ways to fund & launch Stage 2.
@lrtonthegreen.bsky.socialToday #yyccc voted 12-1 to adopt Option 3 - 10th Ave Surface as the preferred option for #greenlineyyc. Cllr Yule added an amendment asking for costing on building a dedicated Max BRT up Centre St & Cllr Schmidt added a public realm study for 10th Ave SW.
@lrtonthegreen.bsky.socialHappening Now: #yyccc Executive Committee will hear about the 3 #greenlineyyc downtown alignment options and will likely pick a path forward. Tune in live:
@lrtonthegreen.bsky.social“We can’t forget about that link. Unfortunately, this report doesn’t address the biggest question of all, which is how #greenlineyyc is going to link north and south through downtown"
