A fire lookout tower sits on a rocky top of a mountain along the Monitor Pass in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. A man is walking up a steep dirt access road to the tower. The tower is square shaped, tall with a balcony deck around its outside. There are satellite dishes attached to a metal tower on top of the building. Fire watchers use ham radio equipment to communicate, thus the need for the satellite dishes and antenna. There are rocks and shrubs along the road to the top, and the sly is a bright, clear blue.
