#MikhEverset #EndwalkerSpoiler

Screenshot of a miqo'te and an garlean armored figure. The armored figure is holding the Miqo'te down on the ground, a hand around her throat while straddling her stomach. The miqo'te has her right hand on the arm holding her throat, left leg out to the side. The background is a snowy landscape in light blue hues. The screenshot inspred from a quest ingame, wher Zenos has possed the WoLScreenshot of the same screen but a different angle, shown from above. #FFxivWrite2026 Day 5
Prompt: Preservation
Character(s): Bonana
Time: Endwalker
a light that never goes out

#ffxivwrite #bbwrites #6.0spoiler #endwalkerspoiler

He still couldn’t believe his eyes. Here Bonana stood, in a place so far beyond the scope of everything he knew, standing in a field of glowing flowers– the same flowers that had been haunting him on this leg of his unending journey. Surrounding him were the people he trusted more than anything in the world, none worse for wear, as if shortly before their souls didn’t hang in limbo, waiting for him to make such a heavy decision.

He nearly squandered it, that trust they had in him. He almost ruined everything with his bullheadedness, his refusal to see what had been right in front of him this whole time. But now was not the time to dwell on near-mistakes. He was so happy, he wanted to cry. He wanted to hug everyone and personally tell them what they meant to him. He started with Sasabe, the one who had been with him the longest of any. He immediately pulled her into a tight squeeze, trying his best to hold his sobbing.

“I’m, ah, sorry for prodding you like that,” she sheepishly returned the hug, “but I’m glad you sorted it out.”

“Feels like you know me better than I do, sometimes,” he said as they let go, their arms lingering on each others’.“Heh,” she was looking him up and down, “I have to say, I think this is a much better look on you.”

“Oh, right, yes,” he did a half-hearted twirl to show off his new outfit; it had a light blue coat similar to Alphinaud’s, but the metals were golden, the pendant on the front bearing red jewels. The gloves were white and slotted perfectly with the ends of the sleeves, metal embellishments matching, the pants similarly bearing a stripe of golden embroidery down each side, and the boots were unambiguously Sharlayan in their practical design, “Tataru gifted it to me, right before we left.”

“Of course she did,” she beamed.

Bonana turned to O’ranje, who was pretending to look away from him.

“And…you are okay?”

“Hm? Oh,” she perked her ears up at him, “yes, of course! I’m very glad you’re okay.”

“That’s not-,” he furled his brow, “I was worried when that phantom attacked-”

“It is a knight’s duty to protect their charge,” she interrupted, smiling brightly, “everything I did was my own decision. And…it’s good to see you well.”

“Well, I suppose we can talk more about it later…”
