Some prehistoric bling for #FindsFriday

3 stone and 5 decorated glass beads found with the burial of a young Iron Age woman at Langton Herring now in #DorsetMuseum

They may originally have been worn individually as amulets or together as a necklace (as shown here) 😍

📷 Sept 2026 #Durotriges

Eight circular beads of different size, 3 of stone and 5 of glass, threaded together for display in a museum case

Christening my #durotriges big dig tshirt by invading Roman Territory on the first day of my fortnight dig at Vindolanda the weather is just right not too hot not too cold. Morning tour complete digging begins after lunch!

A currently clean (won’t be for much longer when we start digging!) green tshirt with a black and white Durotriges Big Dig icon on it A view of the grey stone walls of Vindolanda Roman Fort surrounded by green fields and trees A large area of green grassy area with a Roman fort behind in front of a hill with blue sky covered in clouds
