Our Y6 designers brought their Anderson Shelter designs to life this week. Our knowledge of what shelters needed, ideal materials to build from and ways to camouflage them was impressive! We will be evaluating our decisions and choices next week. #DTatWelbeck #HistoryatWelbeck

Finally, while waiting for our faces to be painted, it was time for the taste test! We even got to try some berry-flavoured herbal tea. We evaluated our products and suggested ways we could improve next time. #DTatWelbeck

We then returned to the classroom to create a Stone Age fruit salad by chopping and mixing fruits and berries that were gathered in the Stone Age! #DTatWelbeck #HistoryatWelbeck

Finally.... It's time to eat our nutritious, delicious and very inexpensive Saag Aloo made from ingredients grown ourselves in our Welbeck allotment. Everybody tried it. Almost everybody came back for seconds! #DTatWelbeck

Year 2 did some scrubbing, washing, chopping, crushing and slicing. Then a lot of stirring! The classroom began to smell LOVELY! #DTatWelbeck
