Day 8 of the #NHL season

And the #GoHabsGo are NOT in a playoff spot!
😞😢😭

#CarolinaCultre schooled them. There are way too many mistakes and breakdowns.

They can score, yes. But the D coverage needs a lot of work.

I’m hoping this isn’t a systemic problem.

Days in a playoff spot: 7

Final.

#Habs have a lot of work to do. They looked completely out-classed by the #StanleyCup champions.

You would think after 5 games in the #ConferenceFinal, they would’ve come up with a better strategy to deal with the #Canes aggressive play.

Nope. 👎🏻

#CarolinaCultre 6-4 #GoHabsGo

Seems appropriate that a #Slaf TO at the blue line leads to an ENG against.

Just a horrible game of decision making by him.

#CarolinaCultre 6-4 #GoHabsGo

#Slaf 🚨!

With the goalie pulled. #Suzuki shoots for #Kreider’s stick. Hits the post, but #Slaf buries the rebound.

#CarolinaCultre 5-4 #GoHabsGo

Point shot. Rebound batted it. Simple hockey.

#CarolinaCultre 5-3 #GoHabsGo

End of 2nd.

THANK GOD!

#Habs have a lot to work on. The only reason this game is close is #Dobes & a little luck 🍀. He’s let in 4 & I don’t fault him for any of them.

#Habs being outshot 29-10. Nuff said.

Best line has been #Bolduc #Danault #Texier.

#CarolinaCultre 4-3 #GoHabsGo

What a horrible play. #Dobson tried to backhand it out of the corner. #Flo missed it. Right onto #Jankowsky’s stick in the slot.

#CarolinaCultre 4-3 #GoHabsGo

Another puck dies on #Slaf’s stick. & it’s a 2v1 the other way.

& another 2v1 near the end of the penalty.

#CarolinaCultre is flying & #GoHabsGo have no answer.

Another 2v1 down low. #Aho goes 5-hole on #Dobes.

#CarolinaCultre 3-3 #GoHabsGo

#Dibes another spectacular save after #CarolinaCultre digs the puck out & feeds a wide open player in the slot.

#GoHabsGo

Right off the FO. Point shot. Through a maze. Puck had eyes.

#CarolinaCultre 2-2 #GoHabsGo

#Suzuki 🚨!

On fire 🔥!

#Hutson forces the TO. #Kreider feeds #Suzuki in the slot & he sends a floater glove side & in.

#CarolinaCultre 1-2 #GoHabsGo

Could be a wild one.

#Bolduc 🚨!

#Texier makes the right decision & just throws it on the net into traffic.

#Bolduc grabs the rebound, patient, & backhands it in.

#CarolinaCultre 1-1 #GoHabsGo

3 bad passes by #Slaf.

The last one from in front & it ends in the back of the net.

#CarolinaCultre 1-0 #GoHabsGo

It’s game day today! #CarolinaCultre v #GoHabsGo

Time for payback for the #ConferenceFinal. Maybe #Flo draws in w #Demidov out.

Who scores 🏒🥅🚨 the 1st #Habs goal?

#Newhook 🚨! Just feel depth will score.

Reminder: 0/2 🥴

Also, final score prediction?

#CarolinaCultre 2-3 #GoHabsGo

Reminder 0/2 🥴

Day 7 of the #NHL season

And the #GoHabsGo are IN a playoff spot!
🥳🎉🎊👏🍾🍻

Dropped down to WC2. But the 3 of the 4 teams up on the #Habs have played more games.

So, really important to bank points tonight. Won’t be easy v #CarolinaCultre. & #Demidov out 2-4 weeks.

Days in a playoff spot: 7

I’m thinking #Flo might draw in v #CarolinaCultre next week.

#GoHabsGo

Now, the playoff picture.

#Eastern Conference:
#GoSensGo v #CarolinaCultre
#SabreHood v #GoBolts
#TimeToHunt v #GoHabsGo
#ALLCAPS v #LetsGoFlyers

#Western Conference:

#TusksUp v #FlyTogether
#MNWild v #GoAvsGo
#LetsGoOilers v #VegasBorn

Let the games begin!

🧵 7/7 End
