Having gone to fight in the #BolivianInsurgency in 1966, #CheGuevara was captured on #ThisDayInHistory in 1967. Already wounded, he surrendered and gambled on being valuable as a hostage. He was instead beaten for his defiance, and was summarily executed by Bolivia the next day.
