Movie #14: Abel Ferrara's #BodySnatchers: The weight of it's merits vs. it's faults make it a decent, just quite a distance away from perfect reimagining of the story. My ⭐⭐⭐ review

@liminalfarmstead.bsky.socialSlowly but surely I'm watching movies that I have been too nervous or scared to watch. Last night Bob and I watched the 70's version of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. It's a good movie, and it absolutely filled me with the dread that I thought it would.
@lennfilm.bsky.socialMeg Tilly owns the entire movie in the minute and 44 seconds it takes her to deliver this mini-monologue. The only time #AbelFerrara really pops out of the frame at us in what should’ve been a John Carpenter jam. #BodySnatchers #CriterionChannel
@pino44io.bsky.socialThey get you when you sleep
-"She IS your mommy, she loves you a lot."
-"My mommy died".
Continuing doing favorite movies poster-like #fanart, #BodySnatchers (1993) this time. My favorite from all three official films.
@chaiah.bsky.socialHow odd.. welcome but, it’s like someone smacked their collective heads together Maybe the #BodySnatchers?
