Ended up on a foliage modeling journey. Finished the grass mesh that I plan to use for another project. The models were intended for macro shot renders.

One of the characters that I have made stands in the center of a plane that has knee high grass on it. The grass has fuzzy looking flowers growing at the ends.A collection of different grass variants placed in two rows, one with flowers and the other without. The size that the grass model was intended to be rendered, placed next to a can and an accurately scaled skritter effigy. The can has its measurements of 4.83 in or 12.3 cm floating above it to give context to what the scale of a skritter worker would be.

Finished the general rig of the onion based uproot. It is also available for download on BlendKit under the full plan.

Another member of the uproots, this time taking inspiration from onions (specifically a leek as seen by its broad flat leaves). The uproot has an angry expression on its face and as described previously, has leaves in the vague shape of a Mohawk hairstyle. It is wearing a red poncho that is asymmetrical, giving its right arm more freedom of movement over the left. On its head, there is a single loose strand of the outer layer of the head. This loose piece gives the appearance of an unkempt piece of hair.Image of the model within blender, the left showing the rig and the right the standalone mesh. Giving more context, this model is actually an older model. In a sense it is the first of the uproots that I had made. The reason it was uploaded last is because it was made before I learned how to rig the mesh to an armature. After finding it in my older files, I decided to go back and finish it.

Posting this here to show the skritter's canonical size. There is a soda can for reference. More details in the alt text.

Here shown is one of the human characters that I have made to compare how small the ant-like skritters actually are. The stilting sneer and the beetle-like rolling skraggle can be seen next to a soda can at the right foot of the human character to scale. The skritters are so small, only small yellow dots can be seen by the can. This image shows the in-blender scaling of the creatures. As the skritters are too small to animate at their real size, a large can is used as a reference for any other object that is used for a scene render. Essentially the can is scaled to real life dimensions, from which any downloaded object is parented to the scaled can. From here the can is scaled to its original large scale, enlarging anything that was parented to it.
