We have many garden signs that #Autumn is with us and #Winter is on the way. Trees losing their leaves, crops going over.... and the end of the #Beechgrove series for the year.
Surely that pumpkin should have been cut with a "T-handle" stalk to help prevent rots from getting into the fruit? #Beechgrove

Viburnum rhytidophyllum carries indumentum on the underside of its leaves, a fawn fluff that reduces water loss in its cold, windy native range. Cutting the shrub releases it into the air, where it can cause wheezing. Wear a mask.

September is doing more work in the garden than it gets credit for. Beechgrove tests autumn planting and covers strawberries, fresh seed, propagation and lawn repair.
