At the sacrifice of a bit too much sleep I think the written #agreatknight Intermission short story is nearing completion.

Time to put it in a nice format and maybe add a cover art.

A 4 page comic The year is 927 AG It is still Harvest season Luisa sneaks up on Plessia who is still tied up lying on the ground. Plessia: what is it, runt? Do you want me to thank you or something? Luisa gives up hiding and steps forward. Luisa: No! Plessia looks annoyed and side eyes her: Okay..? Luisa: I want to know what your deal is! Plessia props herself up and looms over Luisa: my deal? Plessia: I kill people. I murder women in their sleep. I slice their giant's tendon and watch them tumble. That's it. Plessia looks very serious.Luisa frowns: You hesitated. You didn't kill me. And you didn't kill her. Plessia rolls her eyes and pulls up her nose: Because l enjoy toying around obviously! With my prep work the whole thing was trivial. And I would've impaled her smug face if you didn't- Luisa stares her down: How many did you kill? Giants, Humans... Plessia looks away: Do you think I keep track? Luisa: Are they not trophies to you? Luisa: Then what's the deal with only hunting big game? You're cocky! Luisa comes closer: I mean you're obviously compensating for- Plessia bites the air, snapping her massive jaw mere centimetres from Luisa’s head. Plessia: Bite your tongue!! Luisa recoils shocked but not scared. Luisa pulls out a knife . The one she stole from the Florista guard months ago: stay back! Plessia smiles smugly: You think I'm scared? Luisa points the dagger at Plesssia: You won't hurt me. Fia would turn you into paste! Plessia leans in, touching her massive nose against the tip of Luisa‘s tiny weapon: What If I don't care? Beats being dragged around by you freaks. Why not make my final moments count? Luisa furiously swings around the dagger, creating doubled smearframes: Hey! Luisa screams: You can't swallow me whole! You're far too meager for for that! This goes through the roof of your mouth before I draw my final breath! Plessia’s eyes glaze over and she clenches her jaw: I already told you I don't give a shit! Ugh! Plessia: Have you ever even used that thing against anyone? Drawn blood? Seen the life fade from someone's eyes? Luisa looks distraught and uncertain. Plessia: Don't. You can't forget that kind of shit. You can only get used to it. She looks serious again. Luisa blurts out: Well I wouldn't even have to since I'd be dead! They both stare at each other for a while in silence. Plessia hesitates before she furrows her brow and says: I won't eat you Luisa thinks for a moment: I won't stab you. Another moment of silence. Plessia: mommie's waiting. Luisa walks off and looks back at Plessia contemplatively.

A two page comic The year is 927 AG It is Frost season Luisa sits on Farionnes head. It is raining. Luisa: What are you gonna tell them? I don't imagine he'll be approving of our situation... Farionne: Indeed. This might be the most foolish thing I've ever done.not that I've done much. I have some things I want to say andI hope he listens.... Farionne: Do you feel that? rumble rumble Luisa: What? Farionnes hair starts frizzing up. Farionne: Get down! Jump! Luisa : Uh-okay! Luisa jumps into Farionnes hands as she turns her head skyward and closes her eyes.Farionne gets hit by a massive lightning strike Luisa: Ahhhhhhh!!!! Plessia: What the fuck!!! Farionne turns around with a grin. She is smoking and her hair still stands on end. Farionne: All good! Just stay there. Don't come near my head. Luisa screams: Are you okay?! Plessia looks at Farionne blushing.

Marie in voiceover: Giants seem to be able to live almost entirely off of sunlight. Which explains, why their appetites are so low. This makes enduring Frost season a challenge though! 925 A.G. Blaze season A wide angle closeup of Emily boiling inside her helmet. She is sweating and the air is distorted. Marie: But Blaze season is not much better! At least in times of war... There's plenty of sun. But giants produce LOT ol body heat as is!

A one page comic The year is 920 A.G. It is Blaze season at the giant knight academy. Jun is talking to a group of other giants including Robin. Jun: They're telling me I'm growing. But the numbers don't mean anything to me... Jun: ..Only thing can grasp is how THEY are shrinking. When got here 5 years ago, a little man filled my hand... just about. We see a flashback of younger Jun. They are holding a training mannequin in their hands. Jun: Now it’s like this. A finger length. They are holding the same mannequin. It is much smaller compared to them now.

A two page comic Page 1 It is 924 AG. In Downpour season Robin sits in the rain. Marie stands on a wooden scaffolding under a roof. Marie: What does the rain feel like to you, milady? Robin: Oh it's uhm... it feels more like a mist now. Like a cloud of wet. Can't say l enjoy it. She pauses. Robin: Why do you ask? limagine that's not very useful for your research? Marie: Hm. I guess I was curious what it's like to be you? Marie: What about storms?A two page comic Page 2 Marie: You get struck by lightning regularly... I know it gets diffused by the draconyte... But doesn't it still hurt? Robin: Hmmm. Honestly I've felt overall a lot more numb since I sprouted. Marie: The epidermis... Robin: My hands are very dry, my sense of touch has kind of gone away. When it zaps me on my head or bare arms... I feel it. But it doesn't linger. Robin: I don't know if it leaves any scars either. Marie: Incredible! 0.o She is holding her notebook.

A.G. / "Anno Gigantes" is the dating system used all over Gorwelle and parts of Floria. From what my research tells me, it was introduced by High King Edmund Fidelis Arborius the First some 500 years ago to point to the birth of Elto- both the religious figure and the country of the same name. The current year, as of writing this, is 926 A.G. If we take different calendars from, say, the cradle or Tyr we could also be living in the year 1592 or 9246 A.G. Tying the calendar to "the birth of the first giant" splits history into a before and an after: Giants/ no Giants. But lam not convinced that we can even clearly make that cut anywhere. A.G.being introduced so much after the fact makes me wonder, if we can even accurately find a proper "year zero" if we had the records. Naturally almost everything from that time has been lost. I will have to dive deep into the archives at the castle on my next visit.... Although I dread to return.

I’m trying to learn again how to hold on to things I finish and not immediately post everything for validation.

There’s one more I wanna make.
