Veiled sunshine shakes out her
spangled gown
over miles of silver billows.

We run, crabs loose from a spilt
green bucket,
back to the best of childhood.

#smallpoemSunday This is part of the title poem from 'Safe Ground', my collection published last year by @micapress @lesbillbell.bsky.social

Each stanza is #17syllables though not the usual haiku form. Enjoy your #Sunday

I went down to the shore this evening with Mary Oliver's poem in my heart & a little #17 of my own from way back hovering at my shoulder. This is the most gorgeous time of year. Enjoy your autumn
