@sarahenni.bsky.socialMariners mental skills coach Adam Bernero learned that mentally well players are better players when his MLB dream turned into a nightmare.
How this pitcher-turned-peak-performance coach approaches his job could be key to bouncing back in 2027.
@sarahenni.bsky.social“Baseball is a metaphor for life. If you don't really understand yourself in life, it's gonna be tough in baseball & vice versa.”
As a player, Ms Mental Skills Coach Adam Bernero saw the darkness. Now, he's building better players... & better people.
@number5typecard.bsky.socialOne more win and I’ll get to dust these off from my dad’s desk #goms
@jasjennings.bsky.socialMariners new manager (who hasn’t been hired yet) has been fired but seriously, Jerry and Justin and John got to go~
@lccoftheisland.bsky.socialIt's been two weeks. I saved Rick Rizz's farewell speech then set a reminder. I thought, surely in two weeks I can listen to this without blubbering like a baby? Well, I just opened the saved folder, looked at the headline and photo, and started tearing up.
Too soon.
@sarahenni.bsky.socialThe 2025 Mariners slayed franchise demons. 2026 was the final quest... but the team was rudderless, lost.
What happened, how will they cope with/learn from it, & what will accountability look like?

@zachpennington.comI watch the Rays get men on third and second with no outs and then score the guy from third on an infield groundout.
And I weep, for this is not something I saw watching the Mariners this season.
Truly amazing sights are possible.
(next year)

@pfkurd3.bsky.socialSaying that changes needed to be made is not the same thing as saying you dislike the players/coaches that are moving on…can’t keep beating your head against the same wall every season.🤷🏼♂️ #GoMs🔱
@pfkurd3.bsky.social…the Mariners “Defense” was horrendous this season…
