"Welcome back," Wawilka greeted her, a soft brightness in his golden eyes.

"Thanks…" she mumbled, shifting her work satchel over one shoulder.

"Is it okay if we walk together?" her husband asked to which she shrugged.

"Suppose so, although I'm needin' to do some balancin' of the books in the office."

"Fine by me, I'm heading there myself," Wawlika nodded and the two walked in silence towards the main building, passing Shenza and several other employees of Xak Tural Railing on the way. Once inside, Nitowikwe expected him to immediately dive back into his work keeping the railway operational, but he seemed to have other thoughts on his mind.

Uvlo Gahjewesfv sat at the kitchen table, a rumbling in his stomach as he watched his bondmate cook. The Shetona had been marinating meats all day and was now in the process of dicing vegetables with a rapid clicking of the knife on the cutting board. It made Uvlo think about birds he encountered on his travels which would tap snails against rocks to get at the meat inside. By the kami, even his memories were focused on food right now.

The gatherer had been hard at work recently, mining a new vein of ore uncovered in Mamook that Master Shunye said helped with anxiety. Upon his return, he expected the pair would eat out as they often did, but his lover surprised him with the declaration he wanted to cook a meal for them. And so the Viera did his best to wait patiently, but it all smelled so wonderful! Surely a closer look at everything would do no harm…Walking behind the cook, he draped his arms around the other man and kissed his neck.

Like everything the pair did, they went at it with a passion bordering on recklessness. The training space the President had provided them with was of the highest quality electrope, able to take a beating from the pools of magma and jets of water the brothers conjured. They jumped and weaved around each other, summoning surfboards of their respective elements to fly around the room.

Deep Blue's smile was all teeth. This was the best day ever!!

Day 11: Oblivion
An unexpected encounter causes Shale to explore more of Preservation's terminal, leading to a horrifying discovery.

Shale only paid half-attention to him, her eyes locked on the cook. He was a larger feline possessing more animalistic features with yellow fur and a pink tail, dressed in a similar neotunic with a more familiar- looking bucket hat you could find in one of the shops around Solution 9. Feeling her gaze upon him, he looked up and offered a bright smile, continue to pat and grill the shells that were used to hold the filling of the meals they were serving.

The cook bore a passing resemblance to Wuk Lamat, the leader from Tuliyollal that had fought her tyrannical brother and helped restore the real Sphene to her rightful place as leader of Alexandria. "Xbr'aal" she believed the race was collectively known by. A question nagged alongside her hunger: plenty of people from what she now knew as The Source had been integrated into Alexandrian society once The Dome had brought their two worlds together. Why had she never seen any Xbr'aal before?

In some way, he hoped making such well-crafted and beautiful things would encourage people to enjoy them and at least be more open to sharing them with friends and loved ones. Not just for the sake of his bank account, but also that it might make everyone just a little less staid and stuffy.

If creating tasteful and risqué spills of soft silk and leather straps, metal boning held together by satin panels, decorated with lace and feather and well-placed eyelets increased the joy and whimsy, the pleasure and maybe a goodly amount of sexiness in the world, surely that would be a good thing. It certainly made him happy and feel fulfilled, watching people blush and delight in his artistry, making requests in hushed or forcedly nonchalant tones as he took notes and made their fantasies reality.
