Venat pulled her hand free and gestured at the road ahead. "Go on, then. I shall follow." Damn it all, she wasn't lying. Theia ran ahead, stopping every now and then both for Venat to catch up and to look around at everything she had missed the first time through. The two retraced Venat's steps with frightening accuracy, the small child realising every mistake in seconds and correcting her path. Doing this with full knowledge of everywhere she had been was impressive enough for a child her age, but Venat really did believe that taking sight out of the equation would prove to be a challenge.

Entirely new paths of understanding had suddenly opened up to him.
