Look into his eyes. It would be rude not to when he’s talking to you. It’s not as if there is much else on his face you can see. They truly are beautiful, there are none else like them in the Brume. Like staring into the depths of a sea of gold. Pay no heed to how your skin crawls, the feeling of cool smooth fingers cradling your heart. He will probe. He will listen. He will open your body and lay your soul out bare for him. It is his first trap. Behind you, a thin line crackles across the ice. He will change. He will act as your perfect companion. Asking all the right questions and reacting in all the right ways. A siren beckoning you closer to the deepest part of the lake, either softly around the cracks already showing, or right for the weakest point.

So long Lucient thinks he may not have heard him. But he chuckles before Lucient has the chance to repeat himself. “‘Tis better than always looking to the ground, wouldn’t you agree?” Lucient giggles and nods. “Is that all? That cannot be the only reason, can it?” “Fury help me, your questions will end only at a trial before the Inquisition, won’t they…” Victurvien mutters to himself, though no real exasperation seems to be behind his words. Lucient narrowly catches himself before he answers that rhetorical. “It is because I wish to fly.”

Has she ever been in this much pain? Her memory feels hazy. Crippled by the agony that radiates through her body. Mere ilms away Zenos lays just as broken. Dying in a way she must be as well. Ifrit didn't hurt her badly. Nor did Titan. The light? Was that the last time? Morrigan can't even remember what that felt like. Just that it brought her to her knees. So have her visions. This though? Physically she's never been like this that she can remember. She stares up into the endless space, it feels hard to breathe. Oh she's so tired. Mayhap if she sleeps the pain will subside, but this is worse than anything before. Can sleep really fix her? Her breath shudders a strange wheezing sound as it's expelled. The others….
