@stevewestenra.bsky.social#SongsofSeptember Day 27: Song for the Ending
I already shared most of them because I don't plan ahead 🙈
"Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes does play at the end though (including during the imaginary credits in my head): link.deezer.com/s/34xgTc8eBS...
@stevewestenra.bsky.social#SongsofSeptember Day 26: Antag vs. MC
Again, so many!
I'll go with this David Bowie + Prokofiev: link.deezer.com/s/34xgJDgxa1...
It works especially well with black midi's "bmbmbm" or Rammstein's "Mein Teil" as a chaser: link.deezer.com/s/34xgNO4xsE... 😈

Sorry I'm double dipping but my workout playlist reminded me of a character song I should have done today. We have to switch stories though. Because this one is for Tytus of ToLaC Gwyn fame.
Everything Black by Unlike Pluto (feat. Mike Taylor)

Gonna have a do-ove for Day 12 (love song) with a song that’s certainly more romantic (since despite the angst I plan there will be plenty of romantic sweetness in GNA ✨)
@seffydv.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember 29
Back to day 2: can't hear Daffodil without thinking of Tiferet. It's just so perfect.
I couldn't help it, yes, I let it get in
The helpless optimism of spring
Worn out and tired and my heart near retired
And the world bent double from weeping
And yet, the birds begin to sing
@acturek.bsky.socialHere’s one for @sayaashrah.bsky.social
It is vibes, as I don’t know the meaning of the lyrics other than they refer to a god, but I love folk metal (this one of my favorites) and I think this has all the beats of a glorious Ashrah fight.
@vampireantihero.com#SongsOfSeptember For Aloe, another antag song. This one is for François. It's actually off of my Lavender playlist, but it still makes sense for Aloe.
Let you Down by Seether
If I could speak, I'd tell you all my fears and deprivations
If I could feel, I'd take away your pain.
@acturek.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember
Repeating 23: instrumental song.
This is such a lovely vibe of my characters’ home.
Have a beautiful day, everyone, from the Forest!
@sayaashrah.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember 29. Since I'm working on that wee update for This Is How Immortals Die, I'll share Carys' theme:
"You may feel no purpose nor a point for existing
It's all just conjecture and gloom
And there may not be meaning, so find one and seize it" 🎶

I most definitely want to use Glow by Livingston, because I'm obsessed with this song. Could go either for emotional or the couple. Probably the latter, to be honest.
@lillostkitten.comAlright, let's do another relationship-duet song, but make it a trio to include our Werewolf. Luci/Peyton/Anna is canonically legit. Of Monsters & Men's "Wolves Without Teeth": youtu.be/VAI5GSyXMjA?... is a song of desire & belonging, of found family: a song of Krewe turned Pack. 🐺

I'll repeat the Anyone prompt and give Jamie this lovely little song by Ratboys.
Jamie's that friend who you just know you can rely on: he never makes a fuss, but does everything he can (behind the scenes) to make sure all his friends are okay. If they're okay, so's he.
@andria-kennedy.comI missed sad love song day, so let's go with that.
There is an insane amount of imagery and truth behind the lyrics of "If You Could Read My Mind" by Gordon Lightfoot: youtu.be/jiU2lrGnT7U?....
I just can't get too deep into the love part as it's a huge spoiler.
@thepinkhydra.com#SongsOfSeptember Day 29 (for real this time) 😅
This is a repeat answer with a twist since the song fits the protag, the antag, and their duet together!
This one is for Fish and his estranged sister Dannine (again). Both lost children with scary powers, but their paths go opposite directions.
@averyaldan.bsky.socialAnother song for Ruby and Marko, but also spoilery? Let's just say this repeats a few questions we've covered this month!
CHILLS, man. Chills.
@serraleta.bsky.socialI'll redo "side char".
When I first heard this (also my intro to the singer), I couldn't help but think of my own Aurora, & how appropriate it would be if she was the one singing this, referring to a certain someone 😅
#SongsOfSeptember
@talesbyjin.bsky.socialI'll repeat yesterday's but for the second option. "...post one that doesn't fit your work, but you hope might fit someone else's!"
Cha Cha Cha by Käärijä

I love this song so much. It fits none of my writing. Someone please take this man home~
@sainiku.northsky.socialThis song is for Spiral!
Being one of the very first characters introduced in the story, Spiral is a major driving force in book 1.
Halestorm - Black Vultures
Throughout the series, she has multiple brushes with death, and there are many who would love to see her fall.
@bumblebigirl.bsky.socialOkay, I had a few options for the climax song for Dido on the Edge, so here, this is one that'd fit well for when Wendy is destroying helicopters. You can win if you dare!
