A rocky, shingly shoreline alongside a grey sea. The sky is a mix of grey and white clouds. A grassy bank is in the foreground.

#swinemoor still incredibly slow, with any recent puddles gone. 7 Yellow Wag, 3 Swift and Lapwing, unfortunately nothing mixed in with the Lapwing. #eastyorksbirding #patchbirding

Juvenile knot on Spanish Battery Rocks, Tynemouth this morning. It's always good to see something other than the usual oycs, redshanks, turnstones and curlews here. #nebirding #patchbirding

Did a big day on patch today, 50km cycled, 85 species, much better than I'd expected! Nothing particularly interesting but this White-tailed Eagle at eye level was by far the best encounter! Also a late Whinchat and a Blackcap eating berries #patchbirding #BirdingScotland @patchbirding.bsky.social
