Fruity nose of blue and black fruits with light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates and spices. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry and fruit forward on the palate with black currants, black plums, cherries, light cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, light herbs and chocolates. Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. This 9 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley is still drinking very nicely. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and nicely balanced, with a nice mouthfeel. Ready to drink right out of the bottle, tangy and spicy. Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine. A good party wine too. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $60.

Strong nose of black currants, wild flowers, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, earth, toast, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and black pepper. Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with plums, currants, sweet cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black tea and peppercorn. Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. This is a very young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Needs more bottle time to mature properly, but already enjoyable, even by itself. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 to 20 years. Rich and fruit forward, elegant and smooth. Complex and interesting, spicy and entertaining. A great sipping wine that also paired nicely with my steak. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (60% new) French oak barrels for 23 months. A tiny production of only 1,500 bottles. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $250.

This 6 year old Cabernet is already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. I've had many different vintages of this wine and it always delivers.
