#CSURams defense with a great shutdown drive after the TD. Chance to extend the lead back to double digits here after forcing the three-and-out.

Touchdown, Colorado State

This big play #CSURams offense breaks out of a funk with a 57-yard TD pass from Hejny to Vick for the 2nd time today. The Wake Forest transfer was WIDE open downfield. CSU with more points off a turnover and now leads 21-13 with 4 min left 3Q.

#CSURams get their THIRD INT of the game. Wyoming was moving the ball again but a couple of penalties set up third-and-long and a pass goes through the hands of Pokes player and into the arms of Oumar Diomande. Rams take over at their own 40, needing an offensive spark.

That's now 4 three-and-outs in 7 drives for the #CSURams offense. Other 3 were the two TDs and missed FG. Some key offensive linemen are out, so that's limiting ability to run the ball, but CSU needs to find more creative ways to move the chains.

Touchdown, Wyoming

A good kickoff return started it off, but Pokes go right down the field to open the second half and get their first TD of the game. QB Tyler Hughes keeps for a 9-yard score. #CSURams d-line still getting pushed around a bit and it's now a 14-13 lead.

A look at the halftime stats. I maintain that it's been a pretty even game so far. Wyoming has moved the ball more consistently and generally controlled the line of scrimmage, but #CSURams have made the big plays when they're come. Third-down execution, turnovers the difference so far.

Halftime: Colorado State 14, Wyoming 6

Not a great end to the half for the #CSURams as they miss a 54-yard FG and then the Pokes take advantage to make their own 48-yarder at the buzzer. Not much separating these teams so far except ability to execute at the end of drives.

Touchdown, Colorado State

#CSURams offense wakes up back up at the end of the half. Hejny to RJ Vick from 3 yards out. A 37-yard run by Mel Brown made the drive and they take advantage of the short field. Rams up 14-3 with 1:56 left in the half. Wyoming has all 3 TOs.

#CSURams with another INT. This time it's CJ Blocker, a former Utah transfer who stuck around after last season. Ball at midfield, offense could use a drive that produces points here. Last few series have been pretty meh.

#CSURams defense makes its first big play of the season. DB D'Dmon Brinson (who was added to the roster less than 2 weeks ago as 5th-year guy) flies off the edge and hits Wyoming QB Tyler Hughes as he throws and LB Jayden King picks it off on fourth down near the red zone.

END 1Q: Colorado State 7, Wyoming 3

#CSURams' second drive wasn't nearly as successful, going three-and-out and now Pokes have the ball back near midfield as the second quarter begins. Two teams look pretty evenly matched so far.

Touchdown, Colorado State

Not a bad start to the Jim Mora era. #CSURams go right down the field on the opening possession and find the end zone on a pass to RB Cedric Ross out of the backfield. Some theatrics on that drive with a trick play and a fourth-down conversion. 7-0 CSU

Wyoming wins the coin toss and defers. It'll be QB Hauss Hejny and the #CSURams offense up first. CSU will move from right to left on your TV screens at home.

The offseason is finally over. It's finally for #CSURams football. The Jim Mora era kicks off in just a few minutes over on USA Network.

For years, the Border War meant fall was here. Leaves on the ground, crisp air — and the occasional snowstorm.

The 118th meeting between the #CSURams and Wyoming today in Fort Collins will be different.

But it's exactly what Jim Mora's team wants.
