"You're right, it is." He heaved a long sigh and kissed the top of her head. "Forgive me, Y'mhitra. I should be here in the present with you, not fretting over future unknowns." "Frankly, I'd be more alarmed if you weren't fretting."

Koray is caught oddly flat-footed with that. He would. But also, clearly, he hasn't. It hasn't really been a problem except every way it has. He draws himself up, puffing up, because seriously what is with all this insistence from people about him? He's just an adventurer. Surely, his behavior doesn't warrant this kind of interrogation. "I would, which you'd know if you paid attention," he snips. "I said I'd take care of it, so I will. I always have."
