While not the main characters employer we do have a Lich (Undead) mob boss operating in the world of our story who has an undead spy network and living "pledged" thugs and employees.

My first instinct was to say that Mireia & Kena wouldn't have a boss, being gods & all 😂

But that's no fun, so for Mireia, as the Sea Mother, she's not employed but "co-workers" with the Inuit sea goddess Sedna. And occasionally she has to help Sedna comb her hair or she'll get grumpy!

In the Redwoods, Sasquatch, obviously. 😜 Tukhé are powerful, muscular people and are sometimes almost as furry as any ‘Squatch, so it doesn’t feel strange to them. ‘Squatch are excellent foresters, pointing out which trees are best to fell and which to leave alone.
