A somewhat tired-looking mini allotment garden with wooden-edged raised beds. The intermittent rain we've had here over the last couple of weeks has really brought on the brambles and bindweed, and the grass paths are in need of a strim 🙂

An Eurasian coot (Fulica atra) swimming through still grey water. The bird is mostly a charcoal grey with a black neck and head. Its white frontal shield is clearly visible from the side. The ripples it's making are causing its dark grey shadow to appear spiky 🙂
