It starts as temporary events and in pockets. E.g. no water for three hours per day due to drought. First in Africa but now in rich countries in Europe too.
What do 8.35 billion people work? Help me list all human jobs that somehow depend on water.
What we deny the most regarding the #climate:
- Causes of symptoms like C or ppm
- That the climate is about biology and ecology and not physics or economics
Tech killed science, after physics killed biology.

Essential question:
Can humans do ecological risk assessment if they have no clue how life works? E.g. if they don’t know the 10% energy rule of life?

Most animals that still poo in nature like birds & insects contribute to
ecosystem functions & strengthen primary production. They grow life.
Humans don’t contribute to but destroy primary production. Humans are the only useless species yet only humans ask for usefulness and “purpose”.

Global °C trails ocean by 1.5 months.
Land °C trails ocean by 3 months.
But‼️ Beware Media Hype. It’s NOT‼️ the El Nino!

It's too many humans eating animals and driving cars -> Ecological collapse -> Rising Earth Energy Imbalance / forcing (W/m2)
Berkeley Earth has to make the y-axis bigger. Meanwhile, stripe.com aka the IPCC sponsors the following message:
"Scientists have scrapped the worst‑case climate scenario – because action is making a difference"

Humans are the loudest species in the history of life and soon we too will be silent. Education has failed us. We can't see and accept the obvious. Racing to extinction.

Socrates was right. Of course. Again. Writing and reading diminishes experiencing and thinking and understanding and life. Ancient Athens was peak mind and had many people who refused to write/read for that reason. Us? Lost in media.
What do we know about the only essential foundation for all life on Earth?
"The fraction of microbial diversity that we have sampled to date is effectively zero, a nice abstract entity to end on."
"To end on" has new meaning today.
Can animals feel pain? Yes, since 550 million years they can feel pain and fear. Can humans feel pain? Only if it affects themselves. Humans can't see it in others (empathy). Humans would rather see pain in a car or AI than another human or an animal.
We need pesticides and fertilizers due to the high yield pressure of too many humans eating too many animals. Pesticides kill microorganisms and are often patented as broad spectrum antibiotics, like glyphosate/roundup. The symptoms are ecosystem collapse and near term human extinction.
We have lost too much and don't stop destroying.
It is not intuitive to most, but when there is less primary forest left and we destroy even more than before, it's exponential. Burning fossil fuels bought us time to end deforestation. We did not and now face near term human extinction.

Memorable quote: "the advance of clean energy means that the very worst previous scenario, a pathway known as RCP8.5 and lined with rampant coal burning, is now unlikely"
