Got a bit slack with the 'Post Art.' Started as purely a Pantone 100. I then did a second, then ended making postcard-sized pieces with no very coherent raison d'etre. Adding stickers now. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #postcards #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

How the blade of sunlight hit the shelf last evening. I think I need a bath: to wake me up properly. Having to rush downstairs half-dressed to get the groceries in was a rude awakening. getting old! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

I love fungi, though there seemed to be more when I was young, like butterflies, but that's maybe just what I notice as I walk along? Good day yesterday generally; that's unusual! #theferrisfiles #ferrsphotos #metaphorsaplenty #fungi

RampArts. The instruction: black and white, plus one single colour, on newspaper, no water except to clean brushes, a flower of some description in a vase. Loved the results. Can you guess which one's mine? #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #artmaking

Amazinng ow little the subject of a snap can occupy compared to the whole expanse. The hand. Lovely out there today. Should go to Pocock and Shaw to talk about the tenancy. Everything is a faff! #theferrisfiles #ferrrisphotos #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

The sky yesterday morning was amazing. Had lunch with L at Oakington Garden Centre. Ham, egg and chips. It certainly hit the spot. May cook liver and bacon casserole today? let's see. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

They are clearing reeds, but here's a section before the attack. It was SO windy yesterday, going across the fields to Rampton. Have played around with this a little. Looks like I have a cotenant in the pipeline. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

My house. Up early for a Tesco delivery. I didn't hear him, until it was almsot too late. Swear my hearing is getting worse. Great. 5 photos to start the day. I am invisible here. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Supervoid. One of my more astronomical pieces. Just paibnted a very small figleaf bright red. Will glue it to a postcard-sized work later. Must keep busy. #theferrisfiles #watercolour #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Striped Sky. The US unfurling its dashed banner? At least it's sham expansionism. Calling the Strait a protectorate of America is like calling my underpants part of my body. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Reticulum. Not as successful as some of the others. Did a quick acrylic at Rampton earlier, a variant on van Gogh's sunflowers. Tempted to have a nap, but wouldn't sleep anyway. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Remote. It's already looking somewhat outdated. It is a reclining nude. Lunch out and then a peach Magnum. Listening to 'Tainted Love.' Dashed Council Tax to pay tomorrow. Sod them all! #theferrisfiles #acrylicpainting #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Flags at Night. Both sides, somewhat mixed up. At least politicians are beginning to say that Westminster is finished. Let's hope so; they are making such a pig's lug of it! #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #acrylicpainting #mycottenham #frustration

Explosion 1. As with the previous post. Acrylic and gel on canvas board. Wonder if the person who came to look yesterday will take the room? Fingers crossed; I'm getting desperate. #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #frustration

City of Ashes. April 2022. Responding to the horror of Ukraine, but applicable to other nonsensical theatres of war. Adds tons to the caron dioxide and heating. But no-one seems to care about any of this! #theferrisfiles #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty #frustration

Word Child. My favourite Murdoch is inevitably 'The Sea, The Sea.' But have rea lots of them. Should pass on some nmore books, but it's very hard to choose which and when. Hopeless! #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #frustration

Set Text. I loved 'East of Eden.' Didn't like 'The Grapes of Wrath' half as much, even if it's labelleed aa classic. Life drawing this morning Ok, t not great. I am very tired, and the model very chatty. #theferrisfiles #acrylicpainting #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Really like Rose Tremain, though I found one off tee ecent ones too bleak, and diddn't finish it. I was escapism, not realitty! Nonethles, she managed to get a depiction. Ttastes change. #theferrisfiles #acrylicpainting #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #nostalgia

Related Work. Will post the book still-lives shortly. This book was a present from a 'friend' who turned out to be a sh**! Never mind. You learn from being beaten down by unworthies. Very unexpected. #theferrisfiles #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty #frustration

I love monsters. And I love working on boxes. Makes framing difficult, but I will be famous shortly, so won't be my problem. Life drawing later. May go to RampArts tomorrow? Depends on the weather! #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #ycottenham #metaphorsaplenty #monster
