So here's another one, rather like a spiderman. Town is changing rapidly, but SO not for the good. Hideous rabbit-hutches, businesses that close for lack of custom, and greed everywhere. Culture? Wat culture! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #Cambridge #metaphorsaplenty

Listening to Sandinista! It's so good. I had forgotten. This visitor rushes across the studio window. Finally snapped him. Slept like a log last night. So unusual. And the dreams were mad. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

The set might be called changes 9that have no point maybe)? The Nafton is basically closed, but will not be 'corrected' till at least 2029! This town is becoming a real mess. But most don't care! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #Cambridge #metaphorsaplenty

Accident photographs can be interesting; after uploading a batch of pics from town, I pressed the shutter and got this. My desk tends to get clogged with all sorts of art-making stuff. Thus. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Up in the Gallery. Next weekend I will be exhibiting, but Northstowe iffy about the huge turtle drawing. Let's see how it turns out? Snapping in town later. Running out of spots unphotographed. #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #drawing

Planet of the Apes. 4 more pics added to the pile today and a bit of Italian on Lingopie. Period drama, so some very weird vocab and lots of 'voi' addressing a single person. hard work. #theferrisfiles #drawing #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Silence. A trope from former times: de Momper to Masson. April 2023, and still the wars go on, and Musk makes more money than an African country does in a century! The world is disgusting. Just sayin.' #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Cyanotype. Autumn is my favourite season, but it's sudden arrival is rather disorientating. I expected a gradual drop in temperature, a slow colour fade in the leaves. Oh, well, one can't have everything! #theferrisfiles #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty #autumn

Love this writer, but he seems not well known. Published by Picador which is my fave house. Bought loads in the 70s and 80s. very stressed. The PC is SO glitchy. And food is running out. #theferrisfiles #acrylicpainting #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

I wanted to be a palaeontologist when I was a child; look what's happened since! I did a set of still-lives of my favourite books. This is one of them. Thinking about making a vid for FascistTube as TikTok is pants! #theferrisfiles #mycottenham #acrylicpainting #metaphorsaplenty

Thus. I've been reading Grimm fairy tales. Some of them are SO weird. One called 'The Mouse, The Bird and The Sausage.' They all lived together in a little house, but it ended in tragedy when a dog ate the sausage! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Wanted to capture this incey-wincey, but it ran away every time the camera got close. Magpie and squirrel visitors yesterday as well. They were easier, though the latter moved like lightning! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

This is VERY old. I never resolved it. I am ready now, but it is made of perishable media: collage, ink, oil pastel. As an autodidact I did not realise. once the dragon is added it will have to be a giclee! #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mixedmedia #mycottenham

A snap of my sketchbooks. They should be called something different as each page is a fully finished artwork, not an experiment or development. I think there are maybe 100 now. Yes, I am mad. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Vanitas vanitatem. Logo for the Ferris Foundation. I expect thet'll happen after I'm dead. But with theories of non-local consciousness I should still be able to see it. I hope it is in Palermo! #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Hi to my new followers. Thanks. I really needed your interest. This is me as artist-in-residence at Homerton 2000. The century started well; went badly downhill after that! I will climb up again! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #nostalgia #metaphorsaplenty

Metal. May use the metallic pens on another drawing later today? I am using up whatever I can lay my hands on, which means some paper is too thin for layers of wet acrylic. Wyeth wrinkles too. #theferrisfiles #mycottenham #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty

Mad Cow. I love painting on old bags. PC was so slow starting this morning, but I cannot afford to have it looked at. Every single penny of my State pension goes on the rent. Savings manage the food and other bills. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

A print from 1878 I picked up in Ely. Seems very timely. Dictator idiots learn nothing whatsoever from History. No specific plans for today, although I am trying to complete two (useless) artworks per day! #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #frustration

Inspiration. Partly my age, but I am revsiting themes from my 'youth,' even if I wasn't that young. It's all relative. I am rich compared to some homeless, but on my knees compared to the greedy here! #theferrisfiles #acrylicpainting #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty
