Takato is still blaming Jeri when Rika confronts him

Kind of like with Children’s War Game, this movie is focused on shipping the characters who don’t get together

Rika: aren’t you (Takato) a little young to be driving?

That was a good one tbf

Rika wastes no time in getting into action

There are definitely a few adventure type jokes here

So Thomas the Digi-Engine is circling a track to create a digital warp

That doesn’t look safe to do Gogglehead

Speaking of unsafe here’s Rika! At least Foxy Lady’s helping

Okay, I know that Yamaki Spiegel is sort of a Digimon specialist at this point, but why is he taking over a train operation?

At least Gobby & Lopmon remembered they could fly

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

And yes, this is the movie that avoids naming the locations for words like downtown

What was the point of that?

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Rika & Henwy are rushing forward to be part of the plot but I stopped by traffic & Suzie who doesn’t wanna walk

Bless Henry but turns out the Digimon wanna ride too

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Takato: I wonder what’s making him (Locomon/Thomas) act so Loco

I know he didn’t write this, but that is such an Nimoy line

Ugh

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Is Henry psychic?

Of course Gobby has to tease “Henwy”

Oh well, at least Thomas the Digi Engine has a good interior design

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Unfortunately, it’s not enough to stop charged up choo-choo/Locomon/Thomas the Digi Engine so what does our goggle head do

Leap on it and hope that everyone can be gathered

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

As with the last movie, Takato has taken the initiative already

Looks like they couldn’t be arsed to edit the Digivolution onto the Digivice

@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Got to feel sorry for Henry. He’s got to contend with Gobby, his sister & her Former Deva Digimon

Oh yeah, Susie is a Tamer to a Deva
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Considering this is about a train Digimon, this is probably the most appropriate use of Frontier’s music

So Thomas the Digi-Engine here wants to just keep on running

Welcome to
“Runaway Locomon”
OR
“Thirteen Candles:Digimon Tamers Edition”

You know me always grasping at straws to make the Digimon/Beyblade connection

We start this movie with a glaring train Takato passing the buck to Jeri (nice…) for Rika’s unwanted surprise birthday party

Said glaring train goes past really quickly

I’m pretty sure this didn’t air on the Toon Disney airing so it’s nice to hear a longer version of this song!

Rika’s Mom… are you okay?!

Just like the TV Series Ryo/Justimon coming in clutch!

If I can put it in more simpler words, the first collection felt like a celebration of those who grew up with Fox Kids and the first two seasons on the block, where as movie 2's collection, thanks to some of the restoration, felt like a good farewell to that era. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

For the record I feel the English version is the better version as it just feels more emotional and the fact the dub was done ON THE FLY I'm in awe of Melissa Fahn's singing ability
