You know the fact that in Digimon Tamers do very similar traumatic plots with female characters does makes me think that about that sequel where our heroes battle political correctness

The only thing I like about the original TV series ending is that in the dub arguably keeping with the overall series mood they have Henry not forgive his dad & the hope spot at the end

And I’ll be honest I’m one of those that will take this movie as canon where our heroes got their Digimon back after awhile I never really liked the end of Digimon Tamers

Either ends

But they also shied away from what made the Digimon dub so great by avoiding location names combining with the terrible puns unfortunately it showcases the dub flaws more than pluses

Somehow the dub of this particular movie showcases both one of the best things about the dub as in their choice of voice actors & the worst of the dub with jokes/using downtown instead

I also feel that there were way too many Nimoy type puns, but at the same time I loved all the shout outs to the original Digimon Tamer’s dub
So a really mixed bag here

I like this movie better than the last however it’s not without fault they turned Rika into a damsel in distress & that some of this plot feels like a rehash of the D Reaper plot

We even see what’s going on with Thomas the Digi-Engine he’s still a rolling

Whoa what’s this? It’s a Bonus alt title

“Thomas & his Digi Friends”

Little wonder Rika ends the movie wanting to be on her own at least Foxy Lady respects that

I’m glad we get a full version of Promise though with a where are they now with our heroes

I wonder if Takato told Jeri he threw her under the bus or rather the train in this case

Of course word of Rika’s beautiful singing spreads

At least her mom volunteers instead yeesh

We end this movie & Rika’s crappiest birthday ever with the birthday party she didn’t want complete with terrible pretty pants karaoke & Kazu telling Ryo he’s got to do more work

And with a Crimson Light “Miss Pwetty Pants” saves the day

If Crimson mode was all it took, why didn’t he do that in the beginning?

Thomas the Digi-Engine is also free at least

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

Why isn’t Lopmon digivolving? this is pretty violent even for Digimon Tamers

Our heroes are still in trouble, so I guess it’s time for Gallantmon Crimson Mode

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

awwww why doesn’t MegaGobbymon’s missiles smile anymore & looks like our heroes are outnumbered

Here comes Ryo much to Rika’s distain

Glad they finally remembered the proper ships

Rika: so he and his buddies can put the evil eye on our town

Ugh…

Anyway, time for Henry & Rika to join the action killing off what’s left of the censors

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

So Takato & Foxy Lady did get to hear Rika sing

Parasimon looks a bit like Audrey 2 kind of sounds like them too

Oh crap lots of them are emerging

If you find one just say no

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

To explain in Digimon Tamers Biomerge involves a fusion between a Tamer & their Digimon

The Tamers are in their birthday suits which was kept in the dub much to many of our shocks
@digiranma.bsky.social @ochan35.bsky.social @khakibluesocks.bsky.social
#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

I can’t help but wonder how the Disney lot felt about the Biomerge sequences they used more blinding lights in the original broadcast not here

Which means we can see more of our heroes..

#Digimon #DigimonTamers #RunawayLocomon

So since this is a Mega Digimon battle it’s time for the scenes that originally made Fox kids producers/executives extremely nervous

Biomerge time baby!

Takato was a bit extra there
