🐌🪖NEVER hand painting a model again. Clearly an 💨🧹would be better but not yet.
Treating this as an experimental platform to try some techniques.
Coming out okay though.
Ware, washes, shading, pin wash for joints etc.

Decent progress on the 1975 Lamborghini Jota by Hasegawa.
This has been a fabulously entertaining model to build, really enjoyed it.

French Hotchkiss H39 tank,
TAMIYA 1/35 scale.
Slowly but surely.

Not one of my models but look at how cool this model of HMS Bluebell at the western approaches museum in Liverpool is! Ngl even though I mostly go for cold war bunkers/museums, the whole of western approaches was very interesting. #scalemodels #histscalemodels
Saharina Day4: Giallo mimetico and some spots of verde mimetico for the Breda.
I went for the italeri acrylics, as even AK is not doing anything Italo-specific.

Spending the night in a hotel but brought along supplies to decal some 1/700 aircraft. There’s also a 1/72 tank kit in there if I feel like assembling something. This is my rig for ETM build days. #histscalemodels
Yes, the story has all but finalized on this scene, #histscalemodels. The Ethiopian BMD crew receives a quick briefing from the unit commander before heading into action against suspected Tigray forces. As usual, a simple little thing has mutated into a multi-vehicle diorama. 🥲 Will I ever learn?
Working on all the stowage items which has been a good distraction from painting.
I got sick of trying to manage Vallejo for airbrushing so have bit the bullet and am swapping to Mr Colour Aqueous. Due to this I've been putting off painting the camo as lots to relearn.

Current state of the DBMK 1/32 Hornet build. Sadly I haven't had a chance to work on it all week, but hoping to get back to it soon.
Then I realized there will be anti-glare so i repainted the panels black and sanded the heck out of the clear parts. It looks somewhat better with black lining, but still isn't wide enough for the fuselage. No worries the part in front of the cockpit will be repainted right. #histscalemodels
To my fellow builders of #ScaleModels #HistScaleModels #Miniatures and other things revolving around these hobbies, are you aware of a Starter Pack for newcomers on the platform? Would you be interested in joining one? I'd be happy to take care of that.
It sounds more menacing than it looks. 😁👍
Cheers Sammy, thanks for sharing again.

First test fit of fire crew and ladder. Such a good kit in spite of its age. #HistScaleModels
Another from back in the day, Tamiya 1,24 Porsche GT1. #HistScaleModels #ScaleModels #Modelbuilding

I think I covered the McDonnell-Douglas A-12 Avenger II (the Flying Dorito) before, but it still looks like science fiction. Only a wooden prototype built.
This kit is in 1:48 scale, from Modelcollect

A Handley-Page Victor 3D-printed kit in 1:48 scale - yes, really. It's going to be 70cm across and just slightly longer, so clear some storage space.

I'm a sucker for a forward swept wing. The Grumman X-29A is a NASA research aircraft from the 1980's. One is on display in the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
This kit is in 1:72 scale, from Hasegawa.
