Scripture teaches us to tell others about Jesus. And while sharing the gospel brings great blessing, our responsibility doesn’t stop there. We should continue to encourage new believers. Think about those who have invested in you over the years—the people who helped you meet Jesus and grow in your faith (Proverbs 27:17). Where would you be without their love and influence?
This kind of investment is called discipleship, and it is both an honor and a privilege. As Christians, we each have an opportunity to spread the good news and then invest in the lives of other believers. The way we do this is by sharing our understanding and experience. What helps is to ...
• Spend time with God. That puts us in tune with His Spirit.
• Be prepared with a plan. New believers need to understand the basics, such as how to read the Bible, ways to develop a habit of prayer, and where to find fellowship and encouragement.
• Share with others about the Christian journey. Knowing what to expect will build confidence as they mature spiritually.
Most of us learned (and struggled) as we became familiar with the basics of life in Christ. That’s why godly mentors are so important. We all need advice and encouragement from those further along in their walk of faith (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Acknowledging this mysterious unknown, its adherents are in a stance where one can be taught and can learn in life ... that reality and truth can be discovered.

Whereas solar theologies, like Christianity as it became eventually, cling to a fantasy that the truth is known. It is written. No excuses and no exceptions. Alternative perspectives and what one might learn through experience and in consequence of the Mystery of life is wrong, heretical, blasphemous. It is a world forced to be of light always, always known, no doubts allowed, no learning (it is all known, you see). There is nothing in the dark; all has been revealed, and authorities reign. For they are the conduits for this revealed reality, the Word; one’s individual knowing created through one’s experience is not only irrelevant, it is wrong. (And don’t you think differently!) Lack of adherence to these established truths might be punishable by death.

At any rate, lunar theologies, with their trust in process and their refusal to predetermine the ends or truths ahead of time, have their counterpart in our actions in the world in the activist approach, wherein the means are all-important and the ends are entrusted to the care of a progression of righteous means.
