Adding “lumber lurking” to the #NoirChecklist lexicon…

Repost of last night's #NoirChecklist for #TheYellowCanary for the dedicated Sunday morning #NoirAlley crowd! #TCMParty

Thanks for reposting (and thanks, CT, as always, for the #NoirChecklist). I’ll watch #TheYellowCanary for the first time this morning. It strikes me as fitting that Pat Boone and Barbara Eden would star in a noir scripted by Rod Serling.

I rolled in late for the #NoirAlley return, and have to watch tomorrow, but always appreciate the #NoirChecklist.

Apparently no montage? But I’ll manage!

#NoirChecklist for #TheYellowCanary:

-Protagonist must become detective
-Loyal (genie) wife
-Henchman with issues
-Several pointless songs
-Barroom floozy
-Beach house location
-Creepy innkeeper
-Expository flashback
-Plot easier to predict than Pat Boone's lack of an Oscar nom #NoirAlley #TCMParty

Checking the schedule for the return of #NoirAlley while I warm up the ol' #NoirChecklist machine. Hmmm... #TheYellowCanary from 1963, must be starring some late noir stalwarts like Vince Edwards and Anne Francis, so... PAT BOONE AND JEANNIE??!!!
