...Problem solved.

I was VERY closely supervised in this task. There were lots of worms.

I also spotted this large, beautiful hoverfly on an Anemonemonemone. I've no idea what sort it is?

...After emptying the compost from the bottom of an Aerobin, I needed to push the uncomposted stuff at the top into the now vacated bottom. But it was a bit mouldy and I didn't want a lung-full of spores. Hey presto!...

There are many excellent uses for a large, flowery handkerchief: bandana, banditry, anti-fascist marches, blowing noses. The possibilities are only limited by the imagination.

Today it was temporary face mask...

I wish this was a slightly sharper photograph but the lily flower was moving in the breeze (the hoverfly was holding steady). Still a decent macro effort from me at the time as I was learning.
Taken July 2013.

Sun Fly (Helophilus pendulus)

Resting is much easier than flapping around. But... the flaw in that plan is that it can be a wee bit lonely, and man, I'm starvin'

A tiny bit of summer magic…
One flower, one visitor, and suddenly the garden becomes a jungle.
