so I did not see my queen. The Formic may have killed her. No brood. but a few bees that were emerging. Maybe a quarter of bees I had two weeks ago. But...no queen cells either. Gonna give the hive a week before I write it off for the year. she could be hiding and recovering.

Here is a baby bee. Noticet she has so much more blonde fur(I call them Muppets), on her back and around her eyes, not yet worn off yet from working. Also notice her wings are much flatter against her body from being in her honeycomb cocoon, she was likely just born. 🌱🐝 #Bees #Beekeeping

About a dozen bees on a frame and Golden brown colors with black stripes A fuzzy newborn Bee, her wings are more flat and against her body. Herb back is still fuzzy with blonde fur, and also her eyes have much more for around them than the older bees who have been working and they’re so their fur has been rubbed off.

Bees may still be flying while nectar reward weakens. Dry weather and wind are restricting useful forage across much of the UK.
