Is...is it bad I'm getting ALL the Sports Anime references the Tachikoma short is making?!

"It would be 'STAND ALONE COMPLEX'"!

"I don't give a rats ass about that bitch!"
Wait...what?! Batou HUNH?!
(Considering Movie 2 and everything else I know he ain't telling the truth!)

Aramaki is playing 3D Chess on a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL!

The focus on Togusa is actually a good narrative device for the final episode of this season. Togusa always kinda acted as the audience surrogate so it makes sense to piece together stuff from his perspective.

"MOTOKOOOOOO!!!!"
Holy FUCK!!!!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

HOLY CRAP! The UST between Batou and the Major at the end of this episode!

"This body has always suited me...no other will do."
The fandom DEMANDS it!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

"Wait right here until we get back okay?"
I'm having burning Going Merry flashbacks!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

"I had to hack your eyes pal!"
This should not turn me on...but it did.
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

"They were lucky enough to experience death..."
Um...it is amazing how that Tachikoma episode REALLY came into play with this finale!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode25 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

"The illusion of social justice" line REALLY sends me because considering the position the US is in now it's funny how anime called a lot of shit out DECADES beforehand!

The fact that Richard Epcar was in 2 of the animes I watched tonight is EPIC!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch #MacrossPlus @digiranma.bsky.social

Bartender with a Lisp and Tachikoma...it's ALL up to you!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

"Gimme a break, would you?"
Crispin Freeman's Togusa is channeling that Kyon energy!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

Oh they didn't scrap ALL of the Tachikoma's!
(Feels like that is gonna be important later)
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

Oh, the SHIT is hitting the fan with Section 9!
#GhostInTheShell #StandAloneComplex #Episode24 #AnimeRetroRewatch @digiranma.bsky.social

I also find it ironic how THIS show I'm following #MacrossPlus as that show illustrated the dangers of AI while this show is about government cover ups and throwing people under the bus during an election year.
