Jason Robards plays Ben Bradlee with a sense of memories of time gone by. He is an editor, a connection to the corporate. But in his heart, he's a reporter. And the further Carl and Bob get into it, the more Ben gets the old urges and he loves it.

You guys 4getwhat ruined his reelection -the Iranian hostages. What doesn’t get reported at all is Carter had an agreement to get them released but Reagan told the Iranians he’d give him a better deal if he didn’t do it until
After the election. #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

I love this film so much, and now it hurts to watch.
I want a free press again.
I want politicians to be held accountable for their actions again dammit.

Ok … this scene at lunch is from the balcony of The Kennedy Center.

He got the Grade A Upgrade. #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

So much of this movie is a bunch of typewriters and phone calls—including at least one extended call—and yet they’re fascinating to watch. Redford and the acting in general, the direction, the incredible true story itself… all contribute to a helluva viewer experience. #AllThePresidentsMen #TCMParty

But don't you all know that Nixon was framed?!?!?! A GOP candidate actually said that. #AllThePresidentsMen #TCMParty

Oh yeah. Remember it well. #70’s #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

And of course, the ultimate irony is that Nixon probably didn't need Watergate to win the 1972 election. But his paranoia and anxious tendencies got the better of him.

Ah the 70’s, a crazy decade with lots of corduroy, drugs and divorce. #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

#AllThePresidentsMen is SO, so relevant right now. And I didn’t know much of the background Ben Mankiewicz provided about the book and movie, as often as I’d seen the film. It’s so great from beginning to end, and yes, that typewriter was supposed to sound like gunshots. Words are weapons. #TCMParty

@tcmtv.bsky.social has this canny sense of timing. Late last week the current guy in the WH asked DOJ to investigate whether Nixon was treated unfairly by “the deep state”. I kid u not! #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

Here 🙋🏼‍♀️ #TCMParty #AllThePresidentsMen

This evening @tcmtv.bsky.social is airing #AllThePresidentsMen followed by the original version of #TheManchurianCandidate. I encourage everyone to watch both and maybe share a link to the first one with a GOP Rep or Senator.

The latest episode of #TedLasso was just great. 😄 #TVSky

"Follow The Anger" really had me chuckling, especially Leslie Higgins investigating the sale of the club's shares, set to the theme of #AllThePresidentsMen
