Hell......Hell. #TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

Yes!!! And it's so sooo horrific.
It's been really clear to me since this started tonight exactly why I thought this movie was great and why I also had no desire to see it again. #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

I really love the Angela Lansbury interstitial on this scene.
Harvey battling a cold/cough while filming, the way she describes it...
(But also the scene itself which ends ickily)
#TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

I stepped out of the room because I'm cooking something... WHY is his mind wide open like this? Why isn't he drawing a blank right now like he should be? #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

Such a heartbreaking scene where Shaw kills his wife and his father-in-law. Also, it was clever for John Frankenheimer to use milk as a substitute for blood. #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

This is so sad
#TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

In John McGyver’s dialog to Angela Lansbury one could quite credibly substitute John Iselin’s name for that of Donald Trump and the result would be stunningly accurate thus demonstrating good art’s timelessness. #TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

Lansbury is shockingly good in this. The portrayal of sheer disdain for the asian assistant. #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

I like how Janet Leigh's character is so quirky she seems like a Soviet agent 😂

#TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

Absolutely! And that makes it all the more terrifying to me! #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

Laurence Harvey's speaking voice is like some kind of stunning musical instrument, it doesn't feel like it could possibly be a human voice. #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

Yesssss! Somehow it makes so much sense-as if this programming is deep and personal-and that makes it so much more disturbing! #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

So much of this movie is so totally horrifying, I think you're onto something! I think it should be reclassified as horror AND thriller! #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

It’s like every woman in the garden club played a neighbor is various 1960s TV shows ☺️ #TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

AGAIN I find myself thinking, "Boy am I glad I saw this without an intro that gave THAT much away!"... He didn't even need it when he had all that great stuff on Sinatra getting the ok from his friend, the President(!), who's only question was who'd play the mother! #TheManchurianCandidate #TCMParty

This is one of those movies that I wish I was watching it for the 1st time every time #TCMParty #TheManchurianCandidate

This evening @tcmtv.bsky.social is airing #AllThePresidentsMen followed by the original version of #TheManchurianCandidate. I encourage everyone to watch both and maybe share a link to the first one with a GOP Rep or Senator.

#TheManchurianCandidate (1962)
