@rpjwrites.bsky.socialThe chazza I was just in had the radio on, playing Mary's Boy Child by Boney M.
In September. 🤬
Anyway... I did pick up this brilliantly mental stereo test LP from 1967, so the trauma was worth it.

@rpjwrites.bsky.socialThis week's #WeekendSingles finds: A post-apocalyptic ditty from Tim Rose and a classy soul number from The Moments, both on my want list for ages.
On the #AlbumAlmanac front, 2 lovely Creedence Clearwater Revival records, UK Liberty 1st press - they wipe the floor with the US Fantasy originals.

"A time to sell yourself
A time for passing
Spirit
How Long..."
@rpjwrites.bsky.socialSlim #WeekendSingles pickings today, but I picked up The Church's first UK LP from 1982 (with She Never Said + The Unguarded Moment), and Space's Magic Fly from 1977, which I wasn't allowed as a child due to an iffy track title on side 2 so had to settle for the single for 49 years...
