New week, new theme! This time it's time for some #Reflections. Not the philosophical kind, but visual reflections.

This one isn't mirror clear, but it still counts! 2013, iPhone 4S

I'm mainly doing the #WeeklyTheme for me, but join in if you like! Either use my theme or make your own.

Forest reflected in a narrow lake. Or maybe it should be considered a (former) mill pond since it has a dam and runoff right under the bridge I was standing on, and I think there used to be a saw mill there long ago. The sky is grey and there's a slight ripple ob the surface of the water, making the reflection blurry.

I've posted a photo of the same pond before, taken from the same spot but at a different time of year. I used to pass it on my long walks through the forest near where we lived until six years ago.

Abandoned Soviet era Olympic sailing venue in Tallinn, Estonia.

This is the last photo for this week's theme. Next week the theme will be "reflections".

#WeeklyTheme #Abandoned

A concrete structure with walls on two terraces surrounded by staircases on either side. The wall on the upper terrace has large semicircular openings for ventilation, I think. The lower wall is full of graffiti.

An abandoned bulletin board. 2021

#WeeklyTheme #Abandoned

A closeup of the corner of a plywood bulletin board that's been outdoors way too long. The layers have split and frayed severely, leaving criss-crossed thin sheets of frayed and weathered wood. Some of the top layer which was painted green is still in place, also very frayed and with flaking paint.

Abandoned bottles in an abandoned house. 2016

#WeeklyTheme #Abandoned #Urbex #EastCoastKin

Two deep wooden shelves in a cubby under a slanted ceiling. The upper shelf holds some unidentifiable knickknacks, the lower shelf holds a few old empty bottles. Everything is dusty, rusty and a bit mouldy.

Abandoned whatsits in an abandoned forge. 2013, iPhone 4S

#WeeklyTheme #Abandoned #PhotoPrompt

A row of some sort of tools, shaped like a cuboid with a pointed tip. They're lined up and stacked on a shelf, snd covered in dust and cobwebs. The light is dim from a dirty window.

All that's left of a house and garden that ended up too near a quarry/sand pit when it expanded. 2012, iPhone 3G.

I'm making up weekly themes to help me rummage through my photo library. This week's theme is #Abandoned

#WeeklyTheme #ECK

An old concrete staircase in a snow covered former terraced garden. Some of the terracing would still have been visible if there wasn't any snow. The stairs have a simple metal railing on one side. Low winter light sifts through trees just outside the photo. There's young forest in the background. The photo has a sepia tint.

My last day of #CoolClouds. I wasn't really photographing the clouds, but I think they count anyway. 2019, iPhone.

Next week's theme will be "abandoned".

#WeeklyTheme #Stunday #EastCoastKin

A sea view from a rocky shore. There are thin lines of clouds across the sky. Most are parallel and probably actual clouds, but one of them is at an angle and possibly a contrail.

Dark clouds rolling in over the plains near Kristianstad, Sweden (2021).

#WeeklyTheme #CoolClouds #EastCoastKin

A sky full of clouds, quite dark further ahead. There is however a lighter area near the horizon, promising some light once the dark clouds pass.

As I state in my profile, I'm rummaging through and cleaning up my photo library.

I have an album with photos I've selected for bsky. Now that needs a rummage too, so I'm making up weekly themes for myself. This week it's #CoolClouds, next will be "abandoned". Join me if you like.
