Trees reflected in a pond. Uppsala, Sweden, 2025.

Not one of my best, but I'm running low on reflections in my "ready for bluesky" album and that's the whole point.

#WeeklyTheme #Reflections

Bare trees with branches reaching high against a clear but dusky november afternoon sky. The trees are reflected in a narrow still pond with grass on either side. There's vegetation in the pond, disturbing the mirror effect.

Here's one of my favourite "trees reflected in water" photos from 2025.

From the pedestrian bridge overlooking Farstanäset near Stockholm, Sweden. It's on my favourite route between Farsta and our home. Avoiding the big roads, nice lake views.

#WeeklyTheme #Reflections

A view over a still lake with a treeline on the opposite side, reflecting in the water. The sky is clear, with the slightly pale tint of a chilly day in March.

Thanks Jason. It was one of the first images that came to mind when I read the #WeeklyTheme was #Reflections

Oh yay, back to trees reflecting in water. Evening shot from one of my favourite spots by the lake. I've posted other (and better) photos of other (and better) sunsets from the same spot before. This one is from 2021.

#WeeklyTheme #Reflections

A late sunset photo of a bay in a lake, with trees on the other side reflecting in the perfectly still water. The sky is dusky blue with a stripe of orange-yellow lingering at the horizon.

I’ve just followed Noora, too. I like the sound of the #WeeklyTheme

Here's one that isn't "trees reflected in water". Okay, there are a few trees, but the centrepiece is a sculpture that looks like an industrial chimney stack, placed in the river that runs through Nyköping, Sweden. 2017, iPhone SE.

#WeeklyTheme #Reflections

A red brick chimney stack in a river. There are several old industrial buildings to the left of and behind the chimney, and everything is reflected nicely in the fairly still water.

Another "trees reflected in water" for my #WeeklyTheme which is #Reflections. Many of us probably have a whole bunch of such photos.

At Vänern, Sweden's largest lake. Photo taken from small boat. 2016, iPhone SE

A forested shore and various reeds and water lilies reflected in a mirror still lake. The sky is ominously overcast.

Thanks Jason. I'm considering a week of #Reflections featuring the old wooden pilings for Noora's #WeeklyTheme

@np-photos.bsky.socialOct 5, 2026, 7:19 AM

Gosh it looks wonky. I tried to straighten it up before uploading, but apparently not enough.

BTW I made a photo feed for the Weekly Theme if you want to join. Use the #WeeklyTheme hashtag and my current theme hashtag to appear on the feed. If you use your own theme it won't appear there.

I made a photo feed for my Weekly Theme. Use both the #WeeklyTheme hashtag and my current theme hashtag (see pinned post in my profile) to appear on the feed.

Let's see how long I can keep this up and remember to update the feed definition 😊

New week, new theme! This time it's time for some #Reflections. Not the philosophical kind, but visual reflections.

This one isn't mirror clear, but it still counts! 2013, iPhone 4S

I'm mainly doing the #WeeklyTheme for me, but join in if you like! Either use my theme or make your own.

Forest reflected in a narrow lake. Or maybe it should be considered a (former) mill pond since it has a dam and runoff right under the bridge I was standing on, and I think there used to be a saw mill there long ago. The sky is grey and there's a slight ripple ob the surface of the water, making the reflection blurry.

I've posted a photo of the same pond before, taken from the same spot but at a different time of year. I used to pass it on my long walks through the forest near where we lived until six years ago.
