#Grounded (any bird on natural ground), so I thought I'd share these two little birds for #SmallBirdSaturday too.

A blackbird stands on the ground with her mouth open as though she'd just found a tasty morsel to catch. The inside of her mouth is a bright yellow, contrasting the dark chocolate tones of the rest of her coloring. Green grass provides a softly blurred frame around the bird, and patches of rich dirt are visible too. On the right, a blurred red stalk appears in frame.A pied Wagtail stands on a small, angular rock at the beach. The Wagtail has a white face with a grey crown, narrow grey beak and dark black eyes. His breast is a pale grey with white highlights, while his back is a darker gunmetal grey. The wings and tail are that same shade of gunmetal grey, but edged with bright white. He stands on thin pale grey legs with long toes. The ground is sandy, with other small brown pebbles and rocks strewn about.
