I joined my brother and nephews in Oaxactun, Guatemala, this past April (2026). My brother spent two years there a couple decades ago and wanted to share his Guatemalan community and his boys to meet. This is a picture I took of one of the elder's cookfires. She seems both wise and knowledgeable. Her son is highly educated and has a good job an hour away in Tikal. They choose to live in this remote village.
