Lime-speck Pug (Eupithecia centaureata) North Antrim Sept 2026. First of the year earlier this week, but it wasn't in the mood for photos, so these are library images. #moths #mothsmatter #teammoth #gcampbellphoto @ulsterwildlife.bsky.social @savebutterflies.bsky.social @europebutterfly.bsky.social

Can you smell it? Fall is coming. The time of plenty. Dead leaves falling from the sky to feed a Bent-winged Owlet caterpillar’s belly. It’s a glorious thing. Even if it’s not my jam these days, it reminds me of my youth. Nom nom nom

I do love a large maple, but I’m not sure that’s enough to call me Large Maple Spanworm Moth. Back when I ate, I would go for pretty much any leaf. I prefer Master of Disguise! Am I a stick? A leaf? A moth? I like to keep ya guessing

Purple Toadflax has struggled a bit in this dry summer, but where it’s doing ok, Toadflax Brocade caterpillars are still doing well.

A surprising number of hook tips last night . Barred hook tip was NFG and quite good for Cheshire so I was very happy this morning #moths
